Corio Generation welcomes the announcement by the Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen MP, on the Gippsland offshore wind zone. We are pleased to note the government’s intention to grant a feasibility licence to the 2.5 GW Great Eastern Offshore Wind project, subject to First Nations consultation.

We see a significant opportunity for offshore wind in Australia as a proven renewable energy source which can not only make a significant contribution to our future energy mix, but also brings economic benefits with local jobs and investment.
